PTP/NYC has had a strong relationship with playwright Howard Barker for over 30 years and is one of the few theatre companies in the United States to produce his work regularly. This year they decided to produce four of his shorter plays in rep with Caryl Churchill’s After Dinner Joke. To celebrate Howard and his work, the director wanted to take the Sgt. Pepper Beatle’s cover and instead populate the faces with Baker and many of the actors who have tackled his work with PTP over the years. The text inside of the drum was also updated to reflect the production’s title and the flowers at the bottom were reworked to spell “BARKER”.
